My philosophy on child care:
I feel that once your child walks in my door, they are my own child until they go home. Your child will be treated
as I treat my own children. With love and understanding. I want them to learn, to have fun, to feel comfortable when they
are here. I will make sure that each child feels loved and included no matter what we are doing. Should they become scared
during the day, I will rock them. I will kiss their owies. Infants will be included in all activities as well !
Something for all ages
Your child will learn through structured activities geared towards teaching. There will be appropriate activities based
on the age of children present. I have a complete Preschool program for all children from about 2-4. Each activity will be
adjusted to meet the abilities of each age group. As well as exploring his/her world through free play and crafts. Infants
will get one on one time as well. They are able to learn just as much as the older kids, and I like to make sure that they
do !!
Throughout the day children work in individual settings and with the rest of the children in supervised activities. I
feel your child (and mine) will benefit from both the structured and non-structured learning.
Our play area it set up for learning. Much like the larger centers it now has seperate areas for each of the following:
Sensory development, block play, dramatic play, books, art, toys, etc.. This allows the children to really focus on their
play. I belive that purposeful play is beneficial to children. Not just the mess of electronic toys that can be overstimulating.
